First of all, thanks for checking out our website, we don't have much here because we'll reveal all at the wedding. We are so excited, who can believe it is only 2 weeks away?

Hi all! The wedding is less than 3 weeks away, can you believe it? We’re so, so looking forward to celebrating with all of you.

One thing we forgot to include in our invitations was an attire suggestion:

For those attending the beach ceremony, we would love it if everyone can wear white; like our engagement party. White-ish summer dresses for the women and men in khaki pants and white shirts (short-sleeve is fine). This is what we would love but we also don't want you to have to go out and buy new clothes if you don't have it already. So if you do not have white, then any light colored neutrals is fine too (like beige). Shoes optional. We assume that it will be warm with little to no wind on the beach in the morning. We think it’ll make for a fantastic photograph.

Wedding party and family--white would really, really be appreciated.

For nighttime, cocktail attire. Dresses for women (any color). For men, suits are nice but no tie needed (unless you want to). Just how you would normally dress for a wedding. :)

Crooked teeth?

So my mom has always wanted me to get braces, I said no. Once, I asked Terence, you don't think I need braces do you?

Silence. Uh oh.

Me: You think I need braces?

Terence: Um, it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Me: *Silence*

So Terence has this whole issue with his flexible spending dollars going to waste last year so we agreed that I should get braces. So I did. Yesterday I got Invisalign and was in pain all day. It sucks.

I joke with Terence that I need to do this so that my fiance will love me and find me attractive.

He is NOT amused.

Berkeley....through Terence's eyes

Last weekend, I flew up to SF and took Terence to Berkeley. He had been through it once or twice but not through my eyes. I realized most my favorite spots were food places. After meeting my cousin and her daughter Megan (for her to try on the BM dress)--Terence asked me if there was anything else to see but food spots. I scratched my head. Nope. That's it. Of course I took him to my favorite spot. Actually we went back twice.

We then met up with Victoria, the only bridesmaid Terence had not met. We went to Sushi House in Alameda and it was oh so yummy!

Actually I think our highlight of the weekend food wise was the mahi mahi sandwich we had at the Farmer's Market at the ferry building after our morning run. It was so good, Terence and I were making orgasm sounds and there was this garbanzo bean salad that was so good, we kept sucking on it trying to determine the ingredients. We figured it out and recreated it for SND.

Oh I love that Terence loves food as much as me and cooks like a professional chef. I am a lucky girl.

Jerry Yoon, our star photog---an artist in every sense

I realize I haven't talked about our photog, he's totally awesome (brought to us by Sandy, one of my bridesmaids). Of course, we toyed with the idea of having Terence shoot his own wedding--he liked the idea of a cardboard cutout of himself. Somehow he couldn't sell me.

We interviewed a whole bunch and it was our first decision that we made, we basically planned our wedding date around Jerry's availability. When we met, we had a two hour long conversation about the angst of the creative process, which is wonderful--Terence and I looked at each other and were like "he's the one." He cares about not keeping to complacent or comfortable with his art. And he wants to shoot a green wedding. Then there is the fact that his shots are so good, it takes you a minute to figure out what the image is. Jerry is so talented, it makes your teeth ache. Like this shot.

Still no site

Yup, we have less than 6 months to go and no site. After we calculated our budget so far we realized perhaps we cannot afford the SmogShoppe. All these extra fees that were not part of the original quote makes me feel uneasy and not so happy with the SmogShoppe--as much as I LOVE the space. This makes us very sad but after Terence said "you don't need flowers, right?" I thought we need to rethink the site.



After yet another fight (which before we started planning our wedding, was few and far between--mostly about me missing him during his weekday work trips to SF), I said perhaps we should revisit the Walt Disney Concert Hall. We had abandoned the idea back in November because we thought it was too expensive. We are now at about the same priced as the WDCH and besides, it was one of Terence's first project--how cool would that be to have the wedding there? So I contacted Jill, our contact person and wouldn't you know it? July 11th is open and since Terence's family ordered their plane tickets for the 12th, the same weekend, it still works!

We are going to start a wedding/family photography business on the side. He loves shooting people and the extra money will help since I am still interning and not bringing in an income. We don't know how to get the business off the ground or if we have time but it's good to dream right?

Terence has been so incredibly supportive of me pursuing my dream to find a job I love. You know, to be honest, it's his fault. He's the one who has this job that he's so passionate about and he's so darn happy all the time. What is a girl to do?

Thank you baby for your support both spiritually and financially. How did I get so lucky?

6 months minus one day

So before I went to bed last night, I counted. January 12th to July 12th. I thought I had 7 months. Counted. Again. Nope, I have 6 months and that's not good.

As of today we have:

Ordered the Save-the-Date cards, which is posted and I love it....Terence did a great job with them. They went through many versions and this is the one we decided to go with. I am still unsure about our stamp, Terence wanted to go with a square one but I didn't want it to look like a mah-jong tile.

We still haven't signed the SmoggShoppe contract, I finally had Magi look at it and she made so many great comments I had not thought of. I want to send Sherry a red-lined version with my changes but somehow I don't think that will go over well.

Still doing our registery, why didn't we start this earlier? I just thought if we had it done by the time people get our Save-the-Date cards, it would be fine. I just didn't think it would take this long!

Just saw these napkins from a wedding favor site. Hmm, I like the personalization touch of them.
